Beating vans

During winter in Stockholm, I noticed a Velove armadillo smoothly navigating the city. This sparked my interest, leading me to learn more about Velove‘s mission. They aim to transform urban logistics by using e-bikes for efficient parcel delivery, focusing on reducing CO2 emissions, easing traffic, and reshaping urban mobility with their slogan “Beat the Vans!” Velove’s initiative demonstrates how innovation can pave the way for a more sustainable and efficient future in our cities.

As someone passionate about sustainability, I found this to be the perfect opportunity to apply the Hyper Island approach of learning by doing. I embraced a part-time position as a Velove rider, combining my love for cycling and discovering Stockholm. Delivering parcels through Stockholm’s scenic streets, I experienced a profound sense of accomplishment in contributing to a sustainable and efficient service for 3 months.
